15 August 2008 - Edge Lane Post Office Saved From Closure

Clayton residents breathed a sigh of relief when the Post Office confirmed that the nearby Edge Lane branch was to remain open.

The Post Office announced that Edge Lane would remain in business on Tuesday and Tony Lloyd MP was pleased that his efforts to keep the branch open were not in vain.

Tony said,

"The fact that Edge Lane Post Office will now stay open is excellent news for Clayton, as well as the other communities it serves."
