Key Issues
They key issues in British politics at present is the impact of the new Conservative and Lib Dem government and their planned public spending cuts and how this will impact Manchester and the rest of the UK. The full details will not be clear until the budget is announced.
I will want to know if the plan to electrify the rail route between Liverpool and Manchester will continue as announced under the Labour government, and that the Metrolink improvements and expansion will go ahead as promised. I will also want to know that people with young children are protected and whether the budget for international development will be cut.
