Tony Lloyd MP will be supporting Holocaust Memorial Day 2011 on 27 January. Holocaust Memorial Day is about remembering the victims and those whose lives have been changed beyond recognition of the Holocaust, Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and the ongoing atrocities today in Darfur. Holocaust Memorial Day provides us with an opportunity to honour the survivors but it’s also a chance to look to our own lives and communities today.

Tony Lloyd headed the OSCE PA observation mission to monitor the recent presidential elections in Belarus and was appointed as Special Co-ordinator to lead the short-term OSCE observer mission. Tony Lloyd led more than 50 parliamentarians on the observation mission, which was a common endeavour of the OSCE PA and the OSCE/ODIHR.
